Introduction

End Goal

  • Submit KINEROS2 trainings using the runai-bgu CLI.

Submitting a KINEROS2 Training Job

Example 1. Explicit resources
$ ssh bhn20 (1)
$ runai-bgu submit k2 \ (2)
  -n mathematica-1 \ (3)
  -c 16 \ (4)
  -m 16Gi \ (5)
  -- "cd <to  folder you want to run> && k2 -b " (6)
1 Configure SSH connection to bhn20
2 Specifies it is a KINEROS2.
3 Specifies the name of the job.
4 Allocates 16 CPU cores.
5 Allocates 16GiB of memory*.
6 The command to run, here cd <to folder you want to run> && k2 -b.
The space ( ) between the two dashes (--) and the command is intentional. As are the quotes (") surrounding the command.
You will need to change directory to where the file is located using the "cd" command

Example 2. Using User Templates:
$ runai-bgu submit k2 \ (1)
  -n mathematica-1 (2)
  --ut train-over-quota-user (3)
  -- "cd <to  folder you want to run> && k2 -b " (4)
1 Submit a k2 workload
2 Specify the job name
3 Use the --ut specify the user template
4 The command to run, here cd <to folder you want to run> && k2 -b.

Submitting Job

The CLI will display messages about the job creation and status.

Example 4. Synopsis
Start job for training
$ ssh bhn20 (1)
$ runai-bgu submit k2 -n mathematica-1 --ut train-over-quota -- "cd <to  folder you want to run> && k2 -b " (2)
Waiting for the job to be created...

Job mathematica-1 submitted successfully.
You can check the status of the job by running:
        runai describe job mathematica-1 -p myproj
